Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss' first taste of recognition as a fiddler happened in 1990. She was just 19 years old, and got the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. The win was a feat not just due to her age, but also because the album which brought her this recognition, I've Got That Old Feeling was actually third release in Krauss's catalog. Too Late to Cry was her first release, and was made available when the Champaign Illinois resident's age of sixteen. The singer had signed with Rounder Records, one of the top folk labels, at the age of fourteen. Krauss was always renowned for her amazing virtuosity as well as her achievements in her early years. The devotion she has to bluegrass music, which is one of the oldest and most under-appreciated forms in American culture, is an ongoing thing. Krauss is now an experienced performer and producer who had grown from being a teenage superstar.
